Thanks guys. I'm beginning to get the idea and will play with Fusion to find out the causes of some of the crude gcode.
I'm just off on my way to work, but thought that I would quickly upload the original viking gcode, plus the Autolevelled gcode, as well as my edited Autolevelled gcode that worked. Additionally I tacked on the default post configuration for Mach3 from Fusion.

The autolevelled gcode works in this case when all the offending trailining periods are removed via regex.
